This week has been very busy! Tomorrow is Derek’s 27th Birthday, which is such a great thing! I love a day that is dedicated to showing him how loved he is and spoiling him up a bit. He works so hard everyday to let me be here to take care of our precious Ginga-roo. He gets up so early and drives so far to work so we can live in our dream home. He comes home from work and does things around the house and yard to make it a safer place for our baby to grow up. Everything about him is selfless. He is thoughtful and kind and gentle and everything a girl dreams her husband will be. I’m blessed to know him, but even more blessed to call him my husband. Tomorrow I hope to show him how special he is to me. I’m so glad that on this day 27 years ago he was born. I pray that our little angel girl will someday meet a man like her daddy. Happy Birthday to my love!
Today Ginger crawled for the very first time! She’s been just about to for about a week and all it took was the bribery of a little toy! She makes me so proud! This is video of the actual VERY first crawl!

Derek had Wednesday off and so we thought it would be the perfect day to go to the pumpkin patch. We try to go do things on days there are not many people out to prevent her from being exposed to too many germs. I think it is still important for us to go do fun things and make memories. It would be easy to stay in the house everyday in fear of all that is out there. For the most part that is what we do. We don’t even take her to the store. Anyways, there was hardly anyone there and it was tons of fun. We picked a few little pumpkins for carving and some little gourds. My grandma and grandpa got her a pumpkin costume and we dressed her up. She was a doll, so cute. Derek and I split a caramel apple. It was a great day. We looked though the fence at a pony and Virginia SQUEALED with joy. She kicked and did the happiest little screams. I told Derek, Looks like your daughter wants a pony! He said she can have one if she wants one. I feel a bit of spoiling coming on… It was a great day. Here is a look!

Oops! See the sign above her! Saw it a bit late. HA!

She got hot
Pulling up the carpet!

What was underneath it all…

All Derek’s hard work! It is so beautiful and clean. It will be so much better for Ginger’s breathing and health. I can really clean them now. We love them and we’re so happy with how they turned out. I’m mostly happy they’re done and I have my husband and our time together back. No more big projects for us. That will do it for the next ten years I think!
I LOVE THIS! It is such good news and brought tears to the whole families eyes!
Virginia Blue is on the verge of crawling. She gets up on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth. It will be any day now. Yesterday I put her on her belly and she got up on her hands and knees and I went in the kitchen and came right back and she was sitting up. I mean sitting on her bottom! I was shocked I didn’t leave her like that! I grabbed the camera and put her back on her belly and she sat up from there!! Here is the video! SO PROUD!

Derek and I met in 10th grade, started dating in 12th and we broke up a year and a half later. It was an extremely hard time for both of us and after a few months I decided to move on and I moved to northern Ca with my bestfriend Jess. After living there for a while Derek and I started to talk on the phone and he came up to visit me. It was rainy and cold when he got there and we went on a hike to Natural Bridges. It was beautiful and on our hike back there was a clearing. It was so green and there were low lying clouds. It was sprinkling and he stopped me there. We stood staring at the beauty and he said, “This is where we’ll put our house.” This was a big deal because I knew he still saw his future with me. Well, all these years later (8 years this month) we have really made it. We are in love and married, and we are now a family. We went back to this very spot, because it was the start of our ever after. A turning point for the better in both of our lives. We took a family picture there. We don’t have a home there, but they say home is where your heart is and my heart is with my family… So for this moment we had our dream. We made it. We were home.
We are home now! It was a wonderful trip. We really needed it. I do need to catch up on sleep though. We decided the only way to do the 8 hour drive would be to drive from 6:30 pm until 2:30 am. It worked. She slept pretty much the whole way but it was hard on Derek and me to get back in the swing of things. Virginia didn’t know we needed to sleep in after that drive. Ha!

We went on vacation this past week and it was a wonderful time! We visited Murphy’s California. I went to college up there and lived there for two years. Derek lived up there for a year and it holds a special place in both of our hearts. It is a BEAUTIFUL little town. We always say when we get our cure we are moving up there. Virginia had a wonderful time and loved the walks and splashing in the creek.

Bami reading a book to Ginger Blue~

My bestfriend since I was 5, Jess, lives there. We get to see each other and that ALWAYS makes me happy. I loved seeing her.
